Cogenra evolved a trough hybrid with an aim of creating a good supply of hot water for hygene. They solved a bunch of problems and gave it a good go. I think. By not spectrum splitting they were wedded to middling temperatures. But I found their analysis very informative and it shaped my thinking on how to evaluate and compare energy streams. One big takeaway is on page 41.
